Our Vehicle Data API enriches the information on your customer records, so you can:

• Check customer vehicle data on your database against official records
• Recognise key dates and events in vehicle lifecycles
• Trigger marketing or service communications
• Review vehicle keeper changes to check whether a customer still owns the same car
• Identify whether a vehicle is associated with a cherished or private registration
• Analyse details such as vehicle make, model, colour, age, emissions etc.

Search on either the vehicle's VRM (licence plate) or VIN number (not the owner's name and address) to append an array of useful information, including:

• The date that the current keeper acquired the vehicle
• The dates that the previous keeper(s) acquired and disposed of the vehicle
• The dates of manufacture and first registration
• Cherished number transfers (for vehicles with private registrations)
• Whether a vehicle has been scrapped or exported
• The make, model and engine size
• Numerous physical characteristics including weight, colour, body shape etc
• Next MOT due date
• MOT history and advisory notes
• Recorded mileage at last MOT test
